I'm Alessio, a technical localisation specialist and software developer based in Waterford, Ireland.

For more than ten years I've worked on making software speak other languages: localising user interfaces, developer documentation and help content, running linguistic and technical QA, and writing small scripts and regular expressions to take the repetitive work out of it.

I then retrained in software development, earning a First Class Honours Higher Diploma, and now build web and mobile apps too, several of them maps of Ireland's public data. I'm particularly interested in how AI can improve multilingual workflows while keeping language quality and the people using the software at the centre.
